Priority Issues:

Expand Safe School Grounds Management Practices to all schools
Maintain state preemption for fertilizer
Maintain state preemption for pesticides

Legislative initiative:

Pesticides may be applied to school grounds while following the provisions of an established

integrated management plan when following the following provisions: products may be applied

that contain the U. S. EPA label signal word “Caution” or no signal word, and persons other than the applicator will not be permitted to enter the treated area for at least twice the duration of the reentry interval as

indicated by the agricultural worker protection safety language on the pesticide label. Pesticide

treatment notifications must be posted at all areas of ingress to the treated area, through the

duration of time that the application is being made and until the reentry interval has expired.
